Seers of Israel
A Seer of Israel, like seers of other faith communities, uses his or her non-physical or inner senses, which every human being possesses, to provide information for the benefit of others, Jews and non-Jews alike. Modern-day Seers of Israel carry on the tradition of their ancient forebears, the seers of the Bible and the rabbis of the Talmud, and employ some of the same methods.
Seers of Israel, all of whom are Jews, recognize the Divine as the source of their inner senses as well as the phenomena they perceive through those senses; they never claim that their interpretations reflect the will of the Divine; and they never act or encourage others to act solely on the basis of their interpretations. These tenets set Seers of Israel apart from some, who practice what the Jewish tradition has come to regard as divination, that is, illicit divination.
